About Us

Spirit Publishing was established in 2002 by Mary A Bradner.  Spirit’s core card range is humour based which Mary calls the profit centre of cards. “On average most people who enter a store to buy a card will always stop to read the humour section first,” Ms Bradner says.

New ranges such as the high-end hand-made greeting card range, Meri Meri have been introduced into the spirit mix as well as new releases in 2008 of Samsara and 2009 of Grandiflora.  The company continues to expand into the high-end market with an eclectic mix of creative and stunning products. 

Spirit distributes to department stores, bookstores, newsagencies and specialty gift stores.

Born in the United States, Mary launched her publishing career at Reader’s Digest.  Following a stint with design companies in New York City she moved to Sydney, Australia to join William Collins Book publishers.  She then spent 15 years with The Ink Group as creative director responsible for all editorial, compliance, design and production.
