As you all know by now Spirit Publishing supports a little girl, Tabita Kalalehar in a Nepalese orphanage through the Association Chantal Mauduit. Last year, when Diane MacDonald (Spirit’s Finance Manager) and her daughters visited the orphanage in Nepal, they became aware of the critical need for books. On their return Di managed to seal a wonderful agreement with DHL. DHL generously offered to ship a load of books four times per year for four years

After collecting books for the last few months we are now ready to send our first box to Nepal. Diane MacDonald received fantastic support from Randwick Library. Randwick Library has donated many of the books and will continue to do so in the future.

Tabita has send a lovely letter. She is doing well and so are the other children in the orphanage. After a short holiday from school in January the children are back in school for their last part of the school year. This term is the most serious term of the whole school year as the children have to study for the upcoming exams.

The association with the help of its sponsors is building a new school and need of additional funds to complete the entire project. They are continuing their fundraising efforts and are hoping to raise 350,000 Euros. For donations contact the Association Chantal Mauduit.
